Temporary and  Part-time, Non-exempt Positions

Schedule:                   

3 – 4 days per week.  Flexibility and weekends required.

Job Summary:           

Demonstrate excellent representation of Sea Research Foundation every day through a positive, can-do attitude and teamwork focused work ethic.  Staff all Aquarium exhibits, including the Ray Touch Pool, Discovery Lab and Animal Encounter Station.  This includes work with small marine invertebrates and reptiles.  Lead guided, behind the scenes and Challenge of the Deep tours.  Conduct educational presentations about the exhibits over the audio system.  Initiate contact with guests, providing interesting and intriguing information about our exhibits.  Answer guest questions, perform crowd control and maintain a clean and safe environment for guests and animals.

Requirements:          

Ability to deliver exemplary customer service at all times to internal and external customers.  H.S. Diploma.  Ability to consistently represent the aquarium in a professional, friendly, helpful manner.  Excellent communication and public speaking skills.  Must enjoy working with the public.  Enthusiastic and outgoing personality.  Education and/or marine biology background desired.
